The Welsh Sports Foundation is immensely grateful to the Barbarians Rugby Charity Trust for their generous £10,000 donation.
Barbarians FC has a long, proud history in Welsh sport, with no more spectacular moments than when Sir Gareth Edwards scored one of the greatest ties of all time as New Zealand visited the Cardiff Arms Park for an all-time classic in 1973.

The Barbarians Rugby Charitable Trust’s £10,000 donation will support the Foundation’s mission of removing financial barriers to sport and physical activity for young people in Wales. Find all you need to know about the Foundation here:

Welsh Sports Foundation Chair Richard Thomas commented:
“We are sincerely thankful to the Barbarians Rugby Charity Trust for their generous donation. With the Barbarians’ proud rugby heritage and long-standing commitment to the spirit of the game,
their decision to help create opportunities for young children in Wales who might otherwise miss out is especially meaningful.”

A spokesperson for the Barbarians Rugby Charitable Trust added:
“We are proud to be sporting the Welsh Sports Foundation and the great work they do.  Barbarians F.C is supported across the world on the field and since its inception in 2004 Barbarians Rugby Charitable Trust has been repaying that support by itself supporting worthwhile causes across the world and we are delighted to be continuing to do that.”
