Dan trained at the City Law firm Fieldfisher where he qualified into the IP disputes team in 2005. Dan relocated to Cardiff in 2008. He spent two years in the IP/commercial litigation team at Osborne Clarke before joining Admiral’s in-house legal team in September 2010. Dan became Group Company Secretary and General Counsel at Admiral in May 2022, and leads the in-house Group Legal and Company Secretarial teams within the business. Dan is Secretary to the Admiral Group Board and all Group Board Committees. I am on the executive committee of the Law Council of Wales (shaping the future of law in Wales) and I sit on the In-House Advisory Group of the Law Society of Wales.
Away from work, I spend as much time as possible with my wife Fran and our three children (Carys 14, Johny 11 and Bronwyn 9). We love entertaining/cooking for friends, wine, travelling, live music and keeping active. We have recently moved house so lots of time sorting that out. I play for Cardiff & Met Hockey Club and Ystradowen Pétanque club. I also dabble (badly) in squash, running, padel tennis, skiing and fly-fishing.
