Register for a charity place and raise money for The Welsh Sports Foundation
The Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest and most exciting road races in the United Kingdom, with over 27,500 registered runners
Fundraising is at the heart of the Cardiff Half – with many runners choosing to raise money for good causes. Running for a good cause will give a huge boost to the satisfaction you’ll feel on finishing the race – and keep you motivated during your training.
And we would like you to fundraise for The Welsh Sports Foundation!
You can secure free entry and a place in the sold-out 2026 Cardiff Half, when pledging to raise £500 for our Charity.
The flat, fast course will return on 4 October 2026, and will pass all of the city’s most breath taking scenery and iconic landmarks, starting off at Cardiff Castle, running alongside the Principality Stadium, and the River Taff, before embarking on the beautiful Cardiff Bay barrage.
Towards the end of the route, you will be cheered on by the masses alongside Roath Lake and Roath Park, before reaching the finishing line outside the Civic Centre.
Each participant will need to commit to raising a minimum of £500 in sponsorship for this event.
Your race entry will also include:
- Information on The Welsh Sports Foundation
- Branded Welsh Sports Foundation running t-shirt (when £100 of fundraising target has been achieved)
- An opportunity to create a brighter future for children and young people in Wales
- Helping to create a healthier and more equal, Wales.
By registering for this event with The Welsh Sports Foundation, you agree to the Event Participant Terms and Conditions, and agree to share your data with the event organisers and partners.
